Micropollen SP/SU 2016

This SP/SU collection was inspired by my work with one of the world’s leading microfossil Palaeontologists.

COLLECTION, SP/SU 2016
FEATURED Fashion Institute of Technology Future of Fashion show

While working at a world-renowned Paleontological Museum I met a very interesting man. Nested deep between stacked bookshelves was one of the world’s leading scientists. He specialized in microfossils. Specifically, pollen (from flowering plants) and spore (from plants like moss, ferns, or lichens).

Then he showed me their telescopic scans.

It was love at first sight.

This collection is about discovering just how close we to the past, learning that it most magical things require attention to be noticed. It’s also an homage to that beautiful man and his binders.
